SCORE volunteers include college aged students, resource people who offer specific help to our counselor/mentors, but do not counsel clients directly and counselor/mentors who work with clients through a variety ways including face-to-face, via phone, internet (email), workshop instruction or even U.S. mail.

Volunteers provide key services of "their time."  Volunteers are trained, operate under a Code of Conduct and Ethics and have a Chapter mentor. Once an applicant fulfills the orientation process they are cover under personal protection that federal employees have under the Federal Tort Claims Act and also the Federal Employees Compensation Act.

Volunteer Opportunity

SCORE Central Pennsylvania seeks local business men and women willing to give their time to help people in Small Business.  We invite working and retired executives, small business owners, educators and other professionals.  In addition to counselors, SCORE needs resource volunteers willing to help with outreach programs, marketing and workshops. Our Chapter includes Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon and Mifflin Counties. Our greatest need for resident counselors is in Clearfield and Huntingdon Counties. New counselors and resource people are trained and each person receives a Chapter mentor.
