Knowing the "ins" and "outs" of starting a business can be confusing and
costly. SCORE can help you provide you with information and an
opportunity to ask questions and get answers from a team of volunteers that are
knowledgeable and capable of getting you on the right track. SCORE
measure success by giving clients information to make business decisions on
their own. Many of SCORE's clients have gone into business, some clients
have decided after much thought and weighing the pros and cons to not risk
starting a business venture. In both cases client determined their chance
and opportunity for success. SCORE volunteers work without pay. They also
provide their services under a code of ethics that demands confidentiality.
Helping people is what SCORE is all about. Our goal is to provide you with
information for you to succeed in what ever business decision you make.
It could be as basic as deciding with the client that there is very little
demand for his or her product or service and that he or she should not waste his
time or money on the project; it could be completing a market analysis; or it
could be finally completing the business plan in preparation for applying for a
loan. However, it becomes obvious when a client is actually in business and is
successful. The following success stories are just some examples. If you visit www.score.org
you can read a lot more.
